Introducing: Jaeger-LeCoultre Updates The Reverso Tribute Duoface And Monoface Small Seconds
What We Know
As we head ever closer to the Reverso’s 100th birthday, Jaeger-LeCoultre has used Watches and Wonders 2025 to announce an array of new (or newly updated) models, including new versions of the brand’s darling Reverso Tribute Small Seconds in both Monoface and Duoface layouts. For the Monoface, we have a new 18k pink gold offer with a matching pink gold Milanese bracelet, while the travel-friendly Duoface additions offer two models with home dials in either black or blue. Functioning as a modern spin on specific design notes from the Reverso’s origins in the 1930s, JLC continues to find ways to expand upon the unique appeal of the Reverso.

The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds Q713216J
Starting with the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds, ref. Q713216J, this new iteration joins a handful of similar models currently in the catalog in both steel and ping gold. The big change here is the application of a grained texture for the pink gold dial and the inclusion of a matching pink gold Milanese mesh-style bracelet with a sliding clasp. While full specs can be found below, this model measures 27.4mm x 7.56mm x 45.6mm and uses JLC’s hand-wound caliber 822 with 42 hours of power reserve.

This very gold Reverso Q713216J is not limited in production and carries a price tag of $41,300.
The Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds Q398847J & Q3988481
Next up, we have a pair of my favorite functional layouts for the Reverso, the Duoface. So-called for its two-watches-in-one form factor, the Duoface allows one to track a different time zone on each dial. Travelling? Flip it over and set the time in your new zone. Want to see the time at home? Flip it back over.

Pick either blue or black for the new Duoface, you get a silver dial either way when you flip it over.

For these two new entries, both of which join largely similar existing models in JLC’s catalog, we have two different colorways of an otherwise identical watch, and each has new finishing for the dials that help to set these 2025 models apart from the current stock. First, we have the black version (ref. Q398847J), which has a black “local” dial and a silver “home” dial (which also includes a 24-hour scale so you don’t accidentally mix up AM/PM and call home in the middle of the night).ones
If black isn’t your speed, then the Q3988481 offers the same but with a blue local dial. Both watches measure 28.3 x 10.34 x 47mm and come with a pair of interchangeable straps (color-coordinated to your dial choice) from Casa Fagliano Design. Both versions use the JLC 854, which is hand-wound, offers 42 hours of power reserve, and supports the dual time display and the 24-hour indication.

These two steel Duoface Small Seconds models (ref Q398847J and Q3988481) are not limited editions, and pricing starts at $13,700 for either colorway.
What We Think
There’s something just undeniable about the appeal of the Reverso. Combined with JLC’s proven ability for watchmaking, the Reverso offers a unique experience in the watch world and it’s one that many find delightful (myself included).

While these new versions are largely just line extensions of current formats for the Reverso, I think both are quite successful. I love the idea of a Reverso on a bracelet and, combined with that lovely grained dial, JLC has made an exceedingly pretty version of the Reverso with this new Monoface in 18k rose gold. Sure, it’s got a punchy price tag, but just look at it.
And for the Duoface offerings, I really like both and would likely lean on the black dial as I think it’s a stronger complement to the silver dial on the other side of the flippable case. I just love the ability to have what is essentially two watches but with the format of a single, simple, dressy experience. It’s elegant yet functional and not without a certain pizzazz – a combination to which we should all aspire.

Stay tuned for more over the coming days from Watches and Wonders – you can follow all of the show’s new releases right here.
