Breaking News: The IWC Mark XVIII Is Discontinued! So What Are Your Options Now?
Then in July 2022, IWC announced the Mark XX, seemingly out of nowhere. Actually, the brand didn’t announce it at all – the watch just sort of appeared on its website. Mind you, there was never a Mark XIX (that’s 19 for those keeping score at home). The Mark XX took the goldilocks bits of the XVIII and made them – well – just right-er. The dial proportions were improved, the date window made more impactful, the hands a bit more luxurious, and the movement made in-house. Aside from that, it could easily have been mistaken for a Mark XVIII – and at the time of its release and a few blissful months after, it sat right alongside it in the IWC collection.
