“In the very first year, we had five to seven employees,” Scheufele said of the Chopard Manufacture. “We were talking about making 300 watches. Now we are over 200 employees in Fleurier, and growing.” Today, Chopard has two production sites: Fleurier Ebauche, which produces its more industrial movements (think Alpine Eagle), and the Chopard Manufacture, which executes traditional finishing and high-end watchmaking for the L.U.C collection. In 2021, Scheufele said Chopard produced 4,000 movements for its entire L.U.C collection. This limited production illustrates how, even today, Chopard remains true to its original commitment to a certain quality standard.
